This Thursday May 19 you’re invited to our 6th annual Arts to End Violence Gallery Show! This event is the culmination of months of anti-violence art programming through the Mediation Center which has included facilitating workshops in schools to encourage youth art submissions, and hosting a series of free art workshops for youth and families. The show will feature youth, adult, and professional art that centers around themes of violence, peace, community, trauma, and healing.
We want to showcase all of the amazing work artists, merchants, schools, clergy, youth, and community residents are doing to make gun violence unacceptable in our city instead of a regular and “normal” event. We would love for you to join us in our efforts to stop gun violence in Brooklyn and to create space for discussing the impacts of violence and the resilience of our communities. We hope to see you there!
