On Saturday, August 20th, the Bedford-Stuyvesant Anti-Violence Project participated in both Marcy and Tompkins Houses community day’s. Here the project hosted activities pertaining to defining domestic violence and illustrating healthy relationships with community residents of all ages. It was great seeing kids draw what their happy families look like!
The Project also had two performances by artists Monique “Orisha” Letamendi and Gabriel Ramirez. Both artists did an exceptional job at bringing the different faces of domestic violence out to the forefront and showcasing its prevalence in our community.
