Last Thursday, the Mediation Center staff attended Partner Palooza, a resource fair at the Brooklyn Museum organized by the Community Learning Support Organization. The event allowed Community Based Organizations to present their programs to local schools and other institutions. We met people from a wide variety of organizations. These non-profits serve the community in many ways, from bringing the arts into the classroom to giving high schoolers a chance to study abroad. Heart of Brooklyn’s BCAP Summer Camp, an opportunity for children to experience the cultural institutions of brooklyn, awards scholarships to 50% of its attendees. Carnegie Hall’s Explore and Learn program offers free concerts across New Yorks Five Boroughs. Find out when the next concert closest to you is by clicking here. Interested in volunteering at a local school? Learning Leaders can help facilitate that partnership. Thanks to all who came out and shared their expertise with us!
