On Thursday, April 16 S.O.S. Bed-Stuy hosted a screening of the award-winning documentary “The Interrupters” at the Police Athletic League in Bed-Stuy. The film covers the work of Cure Violence in Chicago and gave neighbors the opportunity to learn more about how Save Our Streets works in Brooklyn. Approximately 12 community members gathered at the PAL to watch the film and discuss ways to interrupt violence in their own communities. Many expressed interest in volunteering with S.O.S. in the future. If you are also interested in volunteering, email email@example.com.
