The ideal candidate:
- Will live in the Crown Heights neighborhood
- Should possess a commitment to ending inner city gun violence
- Must possess personal, preferably first-hand experience with street life and gang life
- Has a commitment to a crime-free lifestyle
- Must have strong relationships with a wide circle of Crown Heights residents, especially teens and young men who have been involved in gun violence or who are at high risk of involvement in gun violence
- Should have at least one year of work experience in a leadership or supervisory position
- Must be able to work creatively within organizational and programmatic structures
- Must be able to model and encourage ethical, professional behavior in the work place
- Must have basic computer skills, good written communication skills and excellent oral communication skills
- Candidates may have a record of past misdemeanor or felony convictions but must not have any open criminal cases, convictions for sex-related related or domestic violence offenses and must not have any convictions for crimes involving children.

This really is dream come true I use to work for SOS a couple years ago I’m very familiar with all of the ways that makes the program work. I have been looking for more responsibility in the fight against him violence and with strong ties to the community for over 25 years I would love to have a chance at outreach work it’s what I always wanted to do.

I have what it takes to do this job. I have lived in the crown heights, east Flatbush & Flatbush area for the last 41 years and have many affiliations during that time. I am also an ex felon and have bern home going on ten years. Off of parole since 2007. I have worked in the healrh care field from 2005 to 2014 and sm in between jobs due to the company relocating to Dallas Texas. I have an up to date Resume . Thank you for any and all consideration.
