On Wednesday, March 11, S.O.S. and Brownsville Community Justice Center staff accompanied a group of young people to to A10 Championship Tournament at the Barclay’s Center. They saw a game between Fordham and George Mason, and a second game between Duquesne and St. Louis.
Some of these young people are part of a new initiative called Justice Community Plus, a job readiness program that seeks to support young people in Brooklyn in building skills necessary for obtaining and keeping employment. The participants also have opportunities to relax and bond with one another, as they did at the Barclays Center last week.
