The Mediation Center is launching a new program in October! Our new legal resource center will be open to anyone who needs legal assistance, and will be run by trained community volunteers. This program aims to eliminate barriers to legal access for low-income residents by bringing legal help to the community itself.

Volunteers will be trained by the Mediation Center and working under the supervision of an attorney to provide the Crown Heights neighborhood with legal guidance and assistance around a variety of issues, as well as referrals to full-time legal representation. Volunteers will be required to commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week at our Crown Heights office, and will be paid a daily stipend to cover travel.
