Getting Out and Staying Out (GO&SO) is an innovative reentry program serving 18- to 24- year-old men who have been incarcerated on Rikers Island (the NYC jail complex) and will eventually be released into the five boroughs. Our program provides life-affirming mentoring, reentry planning and supportive counseling to participants while they are incarcerated on Rikers Island and in upstate prisons. Once they are released from jail, we continue services at our community-based office in East Harlem. In the office we take a three-pronged approach to reentry that focuses on education, job readiness and placement, and social services support that includes supportive counseling and referrals to offsite treatment programs.

The Program Analyst/ Rikers Island Outreach Worker will work directly with the President and CEO in the administration of the agency’s services on Rikers Island. In that role, s/he will be responsible for recruitment in the sentenced dorms of Rikers Island, one-on-one transition counseling, tracking the populations through various jails, and reporting all data concerning enrollment and progress with the program. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking for a challenging experience.
