On Tuesday, April 29th at 3 pm, 15 people gathered at the corner of Dean Street and Utica Avenue for a rally in response to a shooting that happened on that corner on Friday, April 25th.
S.O.S. staff members, volunteers, and community residents alerted passersby that there had been a shooting, and that they would not remain silent. Despite the rain, people passing by on the street stopped and listened, and the rally let the community know that gun violence will not go unnoticed, and will not be tolerated.
