Unfortunately there were two shootings in Crown Heights in practically one week. On Friday April 8th, a teenage boy was shot on Troy Avenue near Pacific Street. On Saturday April 16th, another teenage boy was shot just around the corner on Pacific Street.

S.O.S. held shooting responses for both these events. At our second response, Program Director Lisa Jones spoke on the megaphone, reminding us that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH; there have been too many shootings in this area. S.O.S. was joined by Pastor Wesley Daniels from Bethany United Methodist Church and some youth supporters from YO S.O.S., as well as residents of the apartment building where the shooting occurred. We always appreciate the support of local residents; remember, if you save my child, I’ll save your child.
Stop shooting, Start living.
