Groundswell Mural Project is accepting applications for its Teen Empowerment Mural Apprenticeship. Young people involved in this program will meet from October to April and will receive four payments of $50 throughout, as long as they have good attendance. Participants will work together to design and create a mural that reflects their visions/learning about Crown Heights’ past, present, and future. Radio Rookies, a program that trains young people to report true stories about themselves and their communities to be aired on WNYC, is also accepting applications. The group meets 2-3 time a week Nov through June. The participants earn $100 a month with good attendance. The Immigrant Youth Peer Educator Program is currently accepting applications! The program works with young people who are passionate about immigration law and want to become advocates in their communities. Participants are asked to commit 5-10 hours per week and are awarded up to $1,000 as a stipend for their work throughout the year. For more information check out their website here.
