17th ANNUAL MALCOLM BERNARD HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES FAIR: NOVEMBER 14, 2015
The purpose of this fair is to educate students and parents/guardians about the value of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). There will be over 50 admission counselors from participating colleges and universities. Additionally, there will be a financial aid workshop. Dressing professionally is strongly recommended. Students who pre-register here are automatically entered into a random drawing to win a $500 book scholarship or iPad Air.
8th ANNUAL LATINO COLLEGE FAIR: NOVEMBER 21, 2015
All students and families – Latinos and non-Latinos – are welcome! The event will be held at Fordham University, Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx and will feature an afternoon full of college information important to all New York City students and their families. Events include: Planning & Paying for College Workshop and Q&A, College Fair and Financial Aid “Ask the Expert” one-on-one meetings and mini workshops on other topics of interest. More information, including registration and the current list of colleges signed up for the Fair is available here. Registration is optional, but very helpful to plan for space and refreshments.
FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (FIT) PORTFOLIO PREVIEW DAY: DECEMBER 12, 2015
Students interested in applying to an Art & Design major that requires a portfolio evaluation will have an opportunity to receive valuable feedback from FIT faculty this fall. A Portfolio Preview Day will be held on-campus December 12th. This event will provide a wonderful opportunity for students to meet one-on-one with FIT’s faculty members. Representatives will be available to review artwork, discuss programs, and answer questions about professional careers in art and design.
